Today we decided, after careful consideration, to permanently ban a well-known controversial author. We sincerely hope that this will be the last permanent ban in the lifespan of TradingView, because we don’t like to block any user, let alone a popular contributor. But a certain behavior cannot be tolerated and we were left with no choice but to bring an end to a situation that we have accepted for way too long. In spite of multiple warnings and requests to refrain from attacking other authors, the user regularly did so by singling out contributors, belittling their knowledge and mocking their approach to analyze markets.
These actions clearly violated our House Rules and several bans were imposed. During his last ban, the user actively solicited his followers to protest the decision and tried to turn them against TradingView in order to pursue his interests. With this attempt to create discomfort in the community, we have come to the end of the road with this user. We do not compromise our values to accommodate this type of conduct. We remain committed to supporting an engaged community that acts professionally and with mutual respect, where traders support each other in a positive and constructive way.
